SHERMAN -- A local restaurant owner says road construction is ruining his business. Eddie McEwen owns Eddie Mac's on the corner of Lamberth and Travis says he loses around $500 a day because drivers have a tough time getting in and out of his drive-thru.
He says business has dropped in half since construction began. TXDOT originally said the project would be finished in august, but the summer rains have pushed back completion to the end of November.
McEwen says, "I thought I could get to a point and break even and maybe just shut down, but I don't see that going to happen now, so I’m going to be in the hole if I do go under."
TXDOT officials say right now they are in phase one of the three-phase project.
