Ada man arrested for fraud
Posted: 9:18 AM - ADA, OK -- An Ada man has been arrested for allegedly cashing a check from the bank account of a Sunday School class.
The news is all good from the Oklahoma back-to-school sales tax holiday. State Senator Jay Paul Gumm said the first tax-free weekend event in Oklahoma last month increased the state’s sales tax revenue by $4.6 million.
That weekend was August 3-5. It will now become an annual event.
