ARDMORE, Okla. -- Parks officials in Ardmore are one step closer to making their dream of a skate park a reality. On Monday night, city commissioners chose a bid from California skate park contractors, which stands at just over $400,000.

Parks director Kevin Boatright says so far the city has raised about $10,000 and has a grant for $200,000. Now it will be up to the city to fund the rest of the project. Construction could begin within the next few months.
