Sherman FD captain off leave

SHERMAN, Tex. -- A Sherman fire captain will soon return to work after two months on administrative leave.

Fire Chief Jeff Jones says Captain Doug Blackburn is scheduled to report back to duty October 1st.

Blackburn was placed on paid administrative leave in July after allegations of possible misconduct.

Jones says the investigation into those allegations is complete.

Blackburn is the EMS coordinator for the department.

No word on why he was placed on leave.
