Supporting the 1245th

MADILL, Okla. –The Madill Middle School took support efforts for troops of the 1245th to a whole new level. Soldiers of the 12 45th are wrapping up the last bit of training before moving to their mobilization site at Fort Bliss. On Monday, the school opened its doors for the soldiers to use as a training site.

Madill school officials are volunteering their auditorium and their audio visual equipment for the use of the 1245. The soldiers don’t have the ability to use that same material at their armory due to the lack of space.

The school is also allowing the unit to use the library as a chow hall for lunch. Faculty members say they just love seeing the soldiers all walk through the halls.

The 1245's commander says this just gives them another boost to fight for America’s freedom.

On October 18th, the 45th Brigade Combat Team has scheduled a going away ceremony for the soldiers set for the Lloyd Noble Center in Norman.
