GRAYSON COUNTY, Tex. -- The roadway officials say will bring innovating business and new employment to Grayson County is well underway.
At commissioner’s court on Monday, the project manager with State Highway 289 builders addressed officials on the progress.
All debris has been removed for the right away of the thoroughfare. Now officials say the bidding for a contractor will go out within the next couple of weeks.
"It’s rewarding to finally see it come to fruition, and it will be even more rewarding once we start driving on it," Grayson County Commissioner Gene Short said.
Short says they will break ground in mid-November.
The highway should be ready to drive on in August 2009.
