DURANT, Okla. -- It was a breakfast of political leaders Tuesday morning in Durant. State Senator Jay Paul Gumm and Bryan County State Representative John Carey met with city, county, and local business leaders to discuss the upcoming legislative session and answer questions.
They discussed various bills they plan to introduce and other matters.
“The idea is to allow us to answer questions, but more importantly to listen to the people we represent, to get a good idea of where they want us to take the state during the 2008 Legislative Session," said Gumm.
Also in attendance were representatives of U.S. Senators Tom Coburn and James Inhofe.
