ADA, OK -- An Ada High school student has been diagnosed with Tuberculosis.
According to Ada City Schools Superintendent, Pat Harrison, the unidentified student tested positive for TB and has been removed from school.
Harrison says the Pontotoc County Health Department and Oklahoma State Health Department are looking over the case, and all parents and students in the school district have been notified.
He says the student has been quarantined, and parents don't need to worry about sending their kids to school.
"They are under doctor's care, and under the guidance of the tuberculosis doctors at the State Department of Health, and they are not allowed to come back to the school until they've been cleared," said Harrison.
Harrison says the Pontotoc County Health Department will be at the high school on Tuesday performing skin tests to those who may have been exposed to the disease.
