ARDMORE, OK -- Ardmore police say they are looking for two suspects after a man was stabbed multiple times outside a gas station Friday night.

Ardmore Police say around 10 o'clock, 41-year-old Yoshikazu "Yoshi" Hirashawa was stabbed seven times in the parking lot of Rockford C-Mart on Rockford Rd. and 4th Avenue. Store owner A.J. Shah says Hirashawa is an employee, and had just closed up the store when he was attacked.

"We had a call from the police department last night that something had happened at the property so we rushed out to the store," Shah said.

Witnesses say they saw two men running from the scene.

Customer Brittney Pool says she knows Hirashawa and does not understand why someone would want to harm him.

"I've known Yoshi for months and he doesn't ever do anything to anybody and it's just uncalled for," Pool said.

While officers do not have a motive at this time, they say it could have been an attempted robbery.

Authorities say Hirashawa was air lifted to an Oklahoma City hospital. At last check he was listed in stable condition.

"We'll help out from our end, everything what we can do for the medical things to the ICU to the time he makes it back to normal life," Shah said.
