MURRAY COUNTY, OK -- One man is dead and three others are injured after a one-car rollover accident Wednesday night in Murray County.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, just after 8 p.m. 19-year-old Hannah Harjo of Ada drove off State Highway 1, struck a utility pole, and rolled her Nissan Altima twice, ejecting Harjo and two passengers and leaving another passenger pinned inside.
One of the passengers, 27-year-old Johnathan Matthew Hotema of Ada, was pronounced dead at the scene. Two other passengers, 38-year-old Mark Alexander of Ada and 43-year-old George Baker of Tishomingo, were also injured in the crash. Hotema and Alexander were both ejected during the crash. Baker was pinned inside the car for roughly 15 minutes before first responders were able to free him from the vehicle.
Baker was flown by air ambulance to a Norman hospital last listed in serious condition. Harjo and Alexander were taken to a Sulphur hospital last listed in stable condition.
Troopers say they believe speed caused the accident, and alcohol could be smelled on the breath of the driver.
No one in the vehicle was wearing a seat belt.
