(BONHAM, TEXAS) -- Bonham ISD will soon begin $3.1 million dollars in improvements.
The improvements will include a new ag barn, a new playground, new band instruments and a new state-of-the-art weight room.
Dr. Marvin Beaty says he and his board have worked hard to get rid of unnecessary expenses to make room in the budget for the improvements.
He knows the hard work will pay off, " that's the cool part about the job..we're gonna [sic] do some fun things for kids and I think they're gonna [sic] like it..and I think it'll give our students something to be proud of."
Dr. Beaty says all 19 improvements should be done by the beginning of the 2014 school year.
