PONTOTOC COUNTY, OK -- A Byng man who admitted to shooting and killing his wife was sentenced to life in prison today.
40-year-old, Johnny Campbell, who was charged with first degree murder received the life sentence without parole.
Pontotoc County Sheriff, John Christian, says deputies responded to a call on New Year's Day last year from Campbell's son, claiming his dad had shot his mother, Jennifer.
When deputies arrived, they found Jennifer dead in their home.
Christian says they found Campbell a few hours later in the woods, and was arrested.
An affidavit states that Campbell and his wife were arguing over a rifle, the same one that was later used to shoot his wife.
