COAL COUNTY, OK -- A former Coal County jailer finds herself on the other side of the law.
Cassandra Deanne Bailey was arrested Wednesday on charges of introducing contraband to the county jail, possession of meth and drug paraphernalia.
An affidavit states the investigation began last month after inmates admitted to smoking marijuana inside the jail. It also states that in a recorded conversation, Bailey agreed to bring meth to an inmate. When asked to submit to a drug test investigators say they found she was hiding a bottle of urine, a glass pipe and a baggie with a crystal substance.
Bailey was taken to the Atoka County Jail for holding.
Sheriff Bryan Jump says Bailey was hired under the former administration and that she no longer works for the sheriff's office.
