SHERMAN, TX -- Long time Congressman Ralph Hall made a stop in Sherman Tuesday to speak with constituents about a wide range of topics, one of those being the situation in Syria.
"I don't want to send our people over there to fire a volley across and scare somebody, or something. That's not going to work. It's going to show weakness, and I think the President ought to make that decision and he's trying to put it off on the Congress now," Congressman Hall said.
Congressman Hall says he has received word from hundreds of constituents who are against taking military action in Syria.
The 90-year-old says he plans to run for another term next year, extending his tenure as the oldest member of congress.
The Rockwall Republican was first was elected in 1980.
