DENISON, TX-A semi rollover blocks a Denison exit ramp for hours Monday afternoon after it spilled sand on the roadway.
Crews flipped the 18-wheeler back on its wheels over an hour after it rolled on its side on exit 73, just off Highway 75. Denison Police said the driver was going too fast when it exited from the highway, causing it to flip over on the curve. Firefighters said the driver has been transported to TMC with unknown injuries.
"Pay attention to the speed limits, slow around curves because they're carrying an excessive amount of weight behind him on their load," said Denison Fire Capt. Mark Escamilla.
That exit ramp is now back open.
