DURANT, OKLAHOMA -- If this cooler weather doesn't have you in the holiday spirit yet, then this should.
Durant kicked off its annual Shop With A Cop holiday fundraiser today.
Durant Police Department Reserve Captain John Wyatt accepted their first donation of the season.
The program supports local families in need with supplies, food and gifts.
"It's a program that we developed in the police department to be an outreach program so that the officers can help those in the community that are struggling," Wyatt said.
Last year they raised more than $9,000 dollars, helping about 50 families.
