SHERMAN, TX -- An execution date has been set for a man who's been on death row for three decades.
Grayson County District Attorney, Joe Brown, says a death warrant has been signed for Lester Bower.
Bower is set to die by lethal injection on February 10, 2015.
Brown says Bower was convicted in the execution style shooting deaths of four local men found in an airplane hangar just outside of Sherman, 30 years ago.
"It's been a long time for the families for the victims to wait for justice, and we think it's just about at an end," Brown said. "We're pleased that their journey through the legal system is about over."
Brown says an appeals court rejected Bower's latest appeal after a Judge suggested the 1984 jury that sent him to death row had no way to consider mitigating evidence of his good behavior and non-violent past.
