DODD CITY, TX -- A shooting in Dodd City this afternoon sent two men to area hospitals.
Fannin County Sheriff, Donnie Foster, says when they arrived at the house, they found two men with gunshot wounds.
Right now, they're still investigating how and why these men were shot.
Fannin County Sheriff's deputies and Texas Rangers were called to a shooting at this home off County Road 3200 in Dodd City, Tuesday afternoon.
"We came to the scene and found two male subjects that did have gunshot wounds," said Sheriff Foster. "One was transported by helicopter and the other was transported by ambulance."
Foster says the man taken by ambulance went to Red River Regional Hospital while the other was flown to a hospital in Plano.
Foster would not comment on how severe the gunshot injuries were nor would he comment on whether they were self-inflicted, or whether the men shot each other.
"We're trying to figure out exactly what happened and how this all occurred," Foster said. "We've got the Texas Rangers working with us in the investigation and we'll figure out what happened."
Foster would not say if the shooting was criminal but the Texas Rangers are assisting in the investigation.
We'll bring you more details as we get them.
