ADA, OK -- The father of the Ada woman arrested for allegedly abusing her two infant sons, is speaking out.
20-year-old David Stewart and 23-year-old Cassie Stewart, were arrested after authorities learned that their two infant twin boys had suffered multiple rib fractures.
Harold Huff, Cassie Stewart's father, told News12 his son-in-law and daughter have never hurt the boys.
Huff says David, the twins' stepfather, saved one of the infants' lives after he had fallen off a baby swing.
He says David should be treated like a hero.
"David is a hero," Huff said. "My whole family feels that David is a hero, and a lot of the community and people up and down this street that know David knows he is a hero. He shouldn't be in there, and neither should Cassie."
The two remain in the Pontotoc County Justice Center.
Bond has been set at $500,000 for Cassie, and David is being held without bond.
