Former Marietta employee faces felony embezzlement charges

MARIETTA, OK--Charges have been filed against a Marietta woman, accused of stealing thousands of dollars from her former employer.

Dr. Ann McIver said Stacy Rena Spraggins stole more than 6 thousand dollars when she worked as an office manager for McIver Vision Clinic.

Court officials said she faces felony charges of Medicaid fraud and two counts of embezzlement. They said Spraggins cashed checks written to the vision clinic for about two years.

Dr. McIver said it was the attorney general's office who caught onto Spraggins who was billing for patient services that were not provided. Spraggins will appear in court on September 12
