Governer appoints new judge to serve 3 southeastern Oklahoma counties

OKLAHOMA-- Governor Mary Fallin has announced the appointment to a vacant district judgeship that serves McCurtain, Choctaw and Pushmataha Counties.

Michael DeBerry of Idabel will be covering the three counties.

He's currently the Associate District Judge in McCurtain County.

He replaces the late District Judge Willard Driesel.

Governor Fallin says she believes that Judge DeBerry will serve the state well in his new role.

New sports complex coming to Ada

Posted: 1:43 PM - ADA, OK -- Recreation lovers will soon have a new venue to take advantage of. The Ada City council is moving forward with the construction of a new sports complex, a project that will be funded by the "Penny for Our City" sales tax.
