DENISON, TEXAS -- Grayson College is continuing to enhance its emergency alert system for students, faculty and community members.
Those enrolled in the free GC Alerts program will be notified by text, email and phone call of any impending emergencies on campus.
Along with that initiative, the college is also employing an intercom alert system to make those on or near campus more aware of potential danger.
"You know, with probably one of the largest gatherings of people in this county, we realize that it's very important to keep our students, our faculty, the community as a whole, with information," Grayson College Police Chief Andrew MacPherson said.
MacPherson says they are continuing to revamp their emergency management program.
You can enroll in GC Alerts by visiting Grayson College's website at http://www.grayson.edu/college-info/gc-alert/student-alerts.aspx
