GRAYSON COUNTY, TX -- A Howe teenager is dead and several others injured after a car accident in Grayson County Friday afternoon.
DPS Troopers say 19-year-old John McDonough was driving northbound on Bennett Road, just east of Howe, when for unknown reasons he left the roadway and the car rolled several times.
McDonough was pronounced dead at the scene. Troopers say he was wearing a seat belt.
16-year-old Nicholas Caro and 15-year-old Aiden Shaw-Brown were flown to Parkland Hospital and are listed in critical condition. 18-year-old William Shaw was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
Friends say McDonough was a senior at Howe High School. He played guitar in his church's band. They say he was sweet, friendly and was always smiling.
