Judge enters "not guilty" plea for woman charged with murder

GAINESVILLE, TX -- An Oklahoma woman charged with murder appeared in a Gainesville courtroom today.

Carla Cox was arraigned today and the judge entered a not guilty plea for her.

Cox is being charged with first degree murder in the 2009 death of Barry Pruitt. Sheriff's investigators say Pruitt died of multiple stab wounds before his house was set on fire.

Cox is out on $500,000 bond, and is not being represented by an attorney. The judge told Cox she has two weeks to find one.
