Man accused of stabbing Pontotoc Co. inmate appears in court

ADA, OK -- A man accused of stabbing a Pontotoc County inmate last month appeared in court today.

James Holland was charged with assault and battery with intent to kill after allegedly stabbing Roy Shinn Jr. at the Agri-Plex in Ada.

Officials say Shinn was unsupervised when the incident occurred.

Holland is currently being held at the Pontotoc County Justice Center, with bond set at $250,000.

He'll be back in court on August 29th.
