LEHIGH, OK -- Coal County Undersheriff Bobby Hatton confirms that the manhunt for 41-year-old Timothy Paul Horn is over.
Horn was captured at 7 o'clock this morning. He is now in custody, being held at the Coal County Jail.
Hatton says the Coal County Sheriff's Department was searching for Horn for nearly 24 hours.
At 7 o'clock Saturday morning, Coal County Sheriff Bryan Jump, says Horn fled after he took his estranged wife by gun point from her home.
Authorities say Horn fled after attempting to kidnap his wife Tina Horn. We spoke with her Sunday night.
She says her husband was kneeling outside of her car when she made her getaway. "He kept hold of the car and I drug him a little ways, I don't really know how far. I was afraid he was going to get back into the car because he had a hold of the car and I kicked him in the face twice and then he let go of the car and I just took off and I don't know which way he went after that."
"It's very odd. We're a very close family and for one of us to be in trouble or alleged trouble it's really got us uneasy and worried about him," Mandy Crites said.
Authorities say the woman is safe. They say she was treated and released by EMS.
All day Saturday, deputies with Coal County and Atoka County searched this wooded area east of Lehigh. State Troopers, including the OHP Tactical Force, also assisted with the search. At the time, authorities considered Horn armed and dangerous. That came as a shock to his cousin.
"I have never seen this side of him. But we've been told the same thing, that he's armed, so I don't really know what to think about it to be honest with you," Crites.
