Oklahoma City Thunder sponsors blood drive

Ardmorites have a chance to save a life and see an OKC Thunder game in the process.

The Thunder sponsored a blood drive at the Mountain View mall in Ardmore today.

Everyone who donated blood received a free Thunder shirt and a chance to win two tickets to a Thunder game.

The goal for the blood drive was to collect eighty donations, but by 3 p.m. 140 people had donated.

One regular donor lined up his schedule with his drive.

"It helps out the supply and it makes me feel better," said Donavan Ellis. "I've got a friend who works at the blood bank and he said, 'hey, we've got this great drive going, got a chance to win tickets' so I came on down."

The names of the winners will be drawn from a raffle on Monday.
