Bikers from Southern Oklahoma and North Texas met up in Madill, Oklahoma to ride with a purpose.
They rode in the second annual poker run for shop with a cop, a program to bring Christmas gifts to foster kids.
Marshall County Undersheriff Donny Raley started the program after seeing how much kids enjoyed it.
"It was all worth it," said Raley. "It made every effort of going out and getting every penny worth it just to see the smiles on their faces."
The Madill police partnered with America's Guardian motorcycle club to host the poker run.
One rider, Cody Losson didn't ride just for himself.
"They do a lot of good stuff," said Losson. "They need money and anything I can donate. I just came to ride mainly, it's fun."
With the money raised each child will receive $150 to spend on Christmas gifts. Children will individually shop for gifts with a police officer and ride in a cruiser.
Raley said part of the reason for shop with a cop is to change foster kids' negative view of law enforcement.
"The cops are the ones that came into the homes and took them out of the homes and away from their parents," said Raley.
Last year Madill police raised $2,500 and helped 16 kids. But this year they want to leave that goal in the dust.
Raley hopes to double shop with a cops efforts this year because 34 bikes came out. That means raising $5,000 to help 30 foster kids.
And that means a ride to happier holidays.
