SHERMAN, TX -- A break in at a Sherman business is just the latest in a recent string of downtown burglaries.

Sherman police say the suspects broke into the Applied Industrial Technologies building Wednesday night off of West Houston Street, taking a few hundred dollars in cash and change.

While the crooks did not get away with much money, police say this burglary could be connected to other burglaries in the Downtown Sherman area.

Now, they're turning to the public for help.

"they maybe saw someone over there and thought it was an employee but it wasn't. And so we need to have that information if they saw a vehicle, and so the public can really help us out with this if they did see anything around that area," said Sergeant D.M. Hampton.

Wednesday night's burglary is still under investigation.
