SHERMAN, TEXAS -- Sherman city council members will discuss dropping the speed limit on parts of Highway 56 at tonight's meeting.
City Engineer Clay Barnett says a resident came forward months ago, voicing concern about speeding around Sherman High School.
In February, council approved installing more than thirty stop signs in the area around the school.
Tonight they'll consider decreasing the speed on that part of Highway 56 to 25 miles per hour.
We'll let you know what they decide.
