Shop Til You Drop: Getting you ready for Black Friday

SHERMAN, TX - It's beginning to look a lot like...Black Friday. Ad after ad after ad is coming out, revealing the deals that retailers hope you can't resist. Many stores have already stocked their inventory for the big day.

Local retail worker Cole Morris says things are hectic right now.

"And it's just truck after truck, and inventory goes up and up."

Cole worked Black Friday last year.

"It was very hectic. Opened at 12 and everybody poured in. You get customers, nice customers, customers that aren't very happy. You gotta bear with us. I mean, we got a lot going on and we're trying to provide the most efficient and friendly customer service we can."

As an unofficial "Black Friday expert," Cole says shoppers should go into the day with a game plan.

"Do some research, see what we have, know what you want to get when you get in there."

In Sherman dozens of stores are opening early morning on Black Friday. Home Depot, Academy, Lowe's and Office Depot open at 5. Then an hour later, JCPenney, Gander Mountain, and Bed Bath and Beyond. At 7, TJMaxx, then at 8, Dillard's and Hobby Lobby open their doors.

But you don't have to wait until Friday to work off the turkey, Walmart doorbusters start at 8 on Thanksgiving night, while Target also opens that night at 9.

"Well Best Buy believes that, you know, we should spend more time with our families, so we're going to keep our original time at 12 o'clock."

You heard that right. Best Buy, as well as Kohl's, Belk, and Old Navy welcome Thanksgiving midnight shoppers. For some salespeople that means less time at home for the holiday, but more cash in their pockets and more deals for you.
