Stephens County Sheriff says no injures, no major damage from tornadoes

STEPHENS COUNTY, OK -- Around three this Monday two tornadoes touched down in Stephens County.

Sheriff Wayne McKinney says both tornadoes hit in rural parts of the county. One about five miles east of Marlow and the other near Duncan Lake. He says there are no reports of major damage or any injuries.

McKinney says "Code Red" alerted residents to take cover.

"I think the word did get out to people, you know, and after this last week of severe weather that we've been having across the country people are really keeping a good close eye on the clouds and the weather and I'm really thankful for that," Sheriff McKinney said.
