GRAYSON COUNTY, TEXAS -- A Texoma Boy Scouts troop was honored at Grayson County Commissioner's Court this morning for a century of service.

A resolution was passed to celebrate 100 years of Boy Scouts troop 44 out of Van Alstyne.

The troop is the 5th oldest in the nation and the 3rd oldest in the state of Texas.

The Boy Scouts of America was founded in 1910; this Van Alstyne troop was founded just three years later in 1913.
