Three teenage boys accused of breaking into a flea market concession stand in Sulphur were taken into custody by police today.

Officers said the stand's alarm went off at 11:15 a.m.

They said the three boys tried to run away into a nearby creek bed, but police caught one after a short chase and the other two this afternoon.

The Sulphur police chief David Shores said the owners could press charges for their broken doors.

"They've probably got between five [hundred] and a thousand dollars worth of damage and very little merchandise stolen," said Shores.

He adds that the boys could be charged with second degree burglary.
