TISHOMINGO, OK -- A Tishomingo child is dead and another is in the hospital following a two-vehicle crash in Beckham County Friday afternoon.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 29-year-old Cathy Baker was turning from SH 6 onto SH 152 when her trail blazer was struck by a semi.
The crash happened before 4:30 about seven miles south of Elk City.
Friends tell us that Baker's two young daughters, 11 and 12, were in the vehicle with her. We are told that 11-year-old Keri Baker was pronounced dead at the scene and her 12-year-old sister Kelli was air lifted to OU Medical Center with head injures. Family members tell us that she is now in ICU at a children's hospital in Oklahoma City.
Baker was treated and released from the Great Plains Regional Medical Center.
The driver of the semi was not injured.
OHP lists "failure to yield at intersection" as the cause of the wreck.
A "gofundme" account has been set up for the Baker family.
