Howe standoff suspect arrested

HOWE, TEXAS -- The man police say caused a 4-hour standoff at an apartment complex in Howe Sunday, is behind bars.

Howe Police Chief Carl Hudman says 40-year-old Gary Morrow was wanted out of Fannin County for aggravated sexual assault.

Around 9 Sunday morning, police say Marrow barricaded himself inside his apartment at Westwood Manor off Highway 75, threatening to harm himself.

Residents were asked to evacuate.

Marrow eventually surrendered, was arrested and was booked into the Fannin County Jail just before 5 o'clock.'

He's being held on $100,000 bond.

Officers say they later found a handgun inside Marrow's apartment.
