WNJ Foundation presents $115K check to non-profits

SHERMAN, TX-Seven local charities got a boost from the Wilson N. Jones Community Foundation Thursday afternoon.

Board chairman, Pete Kloppers said they awarded a total of $115,000 to non-profits like Women Rock, Four Rivers and Home Hospice of Grayson County helping them provide more services to those in need.
Julie Mitchell of the Rehabilitation Center said they received the grant to fund rehabilitation services for those who can't afford it.

"We really appreciate them granting us this money so we can use that and it will touch a lot of lives in the community, so we're very excited and our patients are very grateful," she said.

The foundation accepts grant applications from any non-profit that promotes health, wellness and education.
