ECTOR, TX -- An Ector woman is dead after being hit by a car more than a week ago.
Trooper Mark Tackett says on November 24, 48-year-old Connie Mondares was walking northbound in the middle of the southbound lane on FM 898 in Ector, when a car driven by Choice Johnson was heading south and hit her.
Mondares was taken to a Bonham hospital where she died a short time after.
DPS is still investigating the accident.
