Thousands accept Rachel's Challenge

DENISON, TX -- Thousands of people took a vow of kindness and compassion at Friday night's third annual Rachel's Challenge in Denison. It is based on the life of 17-year-old Rachel Scott, who was the first student killed at Columbine High School in 1999. In her writings she left behind a legacy of reaching out to those who were different and picked on.

ECU puts new turf on football field

ADA, OK -- The ECU Tigers will have a new look at Norris Field in 2013. The school is replacing its natural grass football field with artificial turf.

State officials listen to concerns on Pointe Vista development

KINGSTON, OK-State officials listened to Marshall county residents' concerns about Pointe Vista Friday. The multi-million dollar development, set to be "substantially completed" a year from now, has been delayed. Residents and local lawmakers said the slow down will seriously impact the area economy.

Pecan Creek flood plan near completion; Gainesville residents returning to area

GAINESVILLE, TX -- It's been more than 15 years since the city of Gainesville began work on the Pecan Creek Flood Damage Reduction Plan. The area has been known to flood--rising waters even killed three people in the city in 2007. Now, work on the channel is complete, all roadways are finally opened and some residents who'd moved for their own safety are coming back.
