Woman found dead in Sherman home

Ft. Worth company warns consumers to avoid stolen meat

American Fresh Foods of Fort Worth, Texas, is warning consumers to avoid possible roadside sales of ground beef. The company says someone stole a refrigerated truck containing nearly 15,000 pounds of meat possibly contaminated with e-coli bacteria.

Denison nursery burglarized

DENISON, TX -- Police are looking for the people who stole a truck from a local nursery and set it on fire. Denison police say someone broke into Twin Oaks Nursery early Wednesday morning and stole $11,000 in computer equipment and tools and a truck.

Antlers standoff suspect in court

ANTLERS, OK -- A man police say was involved in a standoff in Antlers, Oklahoma, on Monday night will be arraigned in court on Thursday. Police have yet to release his name, but authorities say he is accused of holding authorities at bay at a home on Northeast 8th Street in Antlers.

Man dies chopping firewood in Sherman

SHERMAN, TX -- Funeral services were held Thursday morning for a man who fell and broke his neck while chopping firewood for his family. Thomas Pettit, of Sherman, was 44. He was at a field across from Cigna off Pool Road near Highway 691 chopping wood.
