ARDMORE, Okla. -- Unlike some area resorts affected by flooding, the Lake Murray Lodge is still open, and all 52 rooms at Lake Murray Lodge and 56 cabins are still open and still bringing in plenty of business until plans with developers are finalized.

LAKE TEXOMA -- Water levels are finally going down on Lake Texoma on Wednesday. The spillway is below the crest level now, the 640 feet mark that eclipsed the spillway. Starting Wednesday, more campsites are opening. Juniper Point, Platter Flats, Buncombe Creek will all re-open this week.

Ada mother now faces charges for son's stabbing death

ADA, Okla. – New developments in the case of the 17-year-old boy who ended up dead from a stabbing by his mother earlier this month. Now, that Ada mother, Connie Haines, who claimed she accidentally stabbed her son while playfully waving a knife, has been charged with second degree murder and manslaughter.

Man who failed to register as sex offender gets 12 years

GRAYSON COUNTY, Tex. -- A man who didn't follow the law received some tough punishment when he failed to register as a sex offender. A Grayson County jury sentenced Michael Steven Hess, 48, to twelve years in prison, one year for every day he was late in registering on his last move.

Legislator wants gas prices in Carter Co. investigated

CARTER COUNTY, Okla. -- Carter County residents are feeling the pain in their wallets, paying $3.29 a gallon for gas. Some stations dropped their price 20 cents since KXII reported gas prices on Thursday. Now, a state lawmaker is questioning those prices.
