Morning television news doesn’t get much better than what you see on my station, but we’re about to lose one of our anchors. I need someone who’s ready for that next step in their career. This is not a job for the lazy or faint of heart. In addition to great writing skills, you need to be a top-notch reporter, a talented speaker who can roll without the teleprompter. Ad-libbing skills are absolutely essential! Common sense is also essential. If hired, you’ll complement our 2 female anchors and male meteorologist. In addition to anchoring news blocks, you’ll also be expected to conduct live interviews as well as report from time to time. In addition to the usual duties of an anchor, you’ll also be expected to produce portions of the newscasts. You’ll also host our weekly public service program and you’ll report for our noon newscasts. This is not a beginner’s position. You need to have between 3 and 5 years experience in reporting and/or anchoring, a good driving record, valid driver’s license, and the ability to pass drug screening.
