Spring Book Sale

The Friends of the Sherman Public Library will hold its Spring Book Sale on Saturday, April 26, 2014 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be a preview sale for Friends members only, the night before, Friday, April 25, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friends have many levels of membership. Some of the levels are: $15.00 for an individual, $25.00 for a family, and $5 for a student.
Funds raised both days by the sale go to support library materials and programs which are available to the general public.

The Friends of the Sherman Public Library is a non-profit. We would appreciate any publicity you can give this event.

GRAYSON COUNTY MASTER GARDENER’S SPRING PLANT SALE

Different varieties of plants will be available for purchase and include perennials, annuals, herbs, vegetables, ground covers, and roses. Most of the plants for sale have been grown or propagated by members. Sizes will vary, but range from 4 inch pots for $1.00 up to one gallon. Roses will be available for sale from members of the Red River Rose Society.

Bonham Relay for Life

This year the event will be at the Bonham Civic Center
This is the theme for this year’s Relay for Life event in Bonham this year. Each year millions of people participate in Relay for Life events around the country. Every town either big or small will have Survivors, Caregivers, and general participants walking around a track, down the street, or in a field to raise money for the eradication of cancer in this nation and around the world. It is a long fight, andthat is why we walk each year. We all look forward to year when there will no longer a need to hold these events. We look forward to the day when cancer is no more.
This year the event will be at the Bonham Civic Center (old National Guard Armory) on Saturday, May 31, 2014 from noon to midnight. We are looking teams to participate and raise money to cure cancer. To register or to join an existing team, go to www.relayforlife.org/bonhamtx.
