Tulsa Pipeline Expo

The Tulsa Pipeline Expo is a three-day forum showcasing Oklahoma businesses while providing opportunities to network with potential clients from across North America and around the world. The Expo includes a trade show, professional development training, expert industry speakers, a benefit dinner, golf tournament, and a variety of networking functions. This is a great opportunity for companies involved in all aspects of the energy industry to continue to grow their business in Oklahoma.
The Expo began in 2009 with a strong group of individuals and businesses dedicated to the mission of strengthening commerce in Oklahoma. With the outstanding support and extensive business network of many businesses in Oklahoma, the event continues to grow, highlighting the demand and excitement for keeping Oklahoma business thriving. This year, the Tulsa Pipeline Expo also welcomes former Arkansas Governor and Presidential candidate Mike Huckabee as the keynote speaker.
The event is not-for-profit and all proceeds are donated through the Eagle Gift Foundation to various community needs throughout Oklahoma. Dice Run: Registration starts at 10:00 A.M. The first bike out at 10:00 and the last
bike out by 12:00 noon. Last bike in by 3:00. Fee is $10 per entry.

Motor Cycle, Car, and Truck Show: Registration is $15 and starts at 2:00.
Trophies awarded at 4:30 and there will be a 50/50 drawing. Show is 3:00-5:00.
There will be a photo op with the motorcycles!
Basketball Shoot Out: In the gym from 2:00-4:00. Entry is $5 – prizes awarded!
Ride in an old farm wagon pulled by a team of mules!

As a Community Service Project, the Grayson County 4-H Shotgun Club is currently holding an Alluminum Can Drive until December 1st. The proceeds from the cans will be used to purchase Christmas gifts for Angels they will be selecting from the Salvation Army Angel Tree.

Dinosaurs Live! Life-size Animatronic Dinosaurs

Let your imagination run wild as you walk back in time along a half-mile nature trail with nine life-size animatronic dinosaurs! Be captivated as you watch the dinosaurs move and roar and learn interesting dinosaur facts. Check out both herbivores and carnivores and the return of the infamous Tyrannosaurus Rex! Dinosaurs on exhibit include a spitting Dilophosaurus, Brachiosaurus, Acrocanthosaurus, Edmontia, Edmontosaurus, Ornithomimus, Carnotaurus, and two Coelophysis. Kids will also enjoy playing on the static Apatosaurus and Parasaurolophus baby dinosaurs. The dinosaur trail is also jogging stroller friendly. The exhibit will give families and friends a unique, exciting and educational activity to experience together and provide an ideal family outing during the holidays.

DivorceCare, a divorce recovery seminar and support group continues at First Baptist Church, 124 W. Evergreen, Durant, with a new 13-week series starting on January 13, 2010. Weekly sessions are Wednesdays from 6:00-7:30 p.m. in Room 205. There is no obligation to attend First Baptist or any church to participate in this seminar/support group. All persons in the area who are currently experiencing separation or divorce or have experienced divorce even years ago are encouraged to attend.
DivorceCare features on DVD nationally recognized experts on divorce and recovery topics. Some of the session topics include: ‘Facing My Loneliness,...My Anger...My Depression,’ ‘New Relationships,’ ‘Kidcare,’ ‘Single Sexuality,’ ‘Financial Survival,‘ and ‘Forgiveness.’
The cost to attend is $15.00, with scholarships available.

Since the children are also going through the trauma of divorce, there is also a program designed for children ages 5-12, called DC4K (DivorceCare for Kids), which will meet at the same time as the parent who is attending DivorceCare. There is no cost for DC4K. Childcare will be provided for preschool children. Other children and youth activities are in place at the church.
