In the elderly, falling can mean more than just a broken bone. Sadly, it can also be an underlying cause of death. A recent study conducted by the Centers for Disease Control even takes a look at how brain injuries from falls factor into deaths in the elderly each year. Physical Therapist James Pierce discussed why it’s so important to take steps to prevent the elderly from falling.
