BROOKLYN, Mich. (AP) - Pat Green may think twice the next time before asking for a cold one. The last time he did it, the Texas-born country singer-songwriter was knocked out cold.

Green performed Saturday night at the Michigan International Speedway after NASCAR's Carfax 250 race. He's best known for the
2003 hit "Wave on Wave."

The Jackson Citizen Patriot reports that late in his show, he shouted, "Anyone got a beer?" A can of suds suddenly soared from the audience onto the stage. Then a second can from the crowd hit Green between the eyes, knocking him out.

Medical personnel treated him at the track.

A phone message seeking an update on Green's condition was left Tuesday at his publicist's office in Nashville, Tenn.

I think all "LAS VEGAS" country singers should be hit with a beer. Maybe Toby will be next. Might clean him up some.

Ron: I had rather be a redneck than to admit I was from the pervert state of California. Ever wonder why California (and a couple of other states) are having so many fires, earthquakes etc? It's from all the immorral laws it's passing. Like a sign says on Morton St. "you may make it legal but it's still a sin. Gary, you said it very well. Don't put down rednecks, trash pick-up people etc. Some one has to make your life easier.

To Ron Burgandy in San Diego. I would much rather be a redneck and I am proud to say that I am. Than a city boy like you. Us country folk out here are what make this country go and live. The farmers and those who ranch and raise the livestock that you people who look down on us enjoy when you sit down to a big steak or a chicken dinner should be treated with the highest respect in this country. Yet we are looked down on. Yes I know that this doesn't really have anything to do with Pat Green getting beaned by a beer can. Sorry to hear about that but its the redneck pride that really boosts these statements. Too all out there who might not know, its the farmers and ranchers out there who are keeping you fed and I'm proud to say that I am one of them, we should in my personal opinion receive a bit more respect that we do. Its not an easy life. Never cuss a farmer with your mouth full!

Well to the small minded people out there he can sing and obviously he doesn't worry about Jocob's opinion on his way to the bank.
