HOUSTON,TX (AP) - Investigators say tips from the public have helped identify a fugitive described by the FBI in Houston as a "tall, dark and handsome bandit."
The search continues for 46-year-old John "Steven" Stark, whose last known address was Liberty County.
The FBI on Tuesday announced Stark has been charged with the Jan. 30 robbery of a Bank of America branch in Beaumont. He's also wanted for questioning in the Feb. 2 holdup of a Comerica Bank in Houston.
Bank surveillance video shows a man, wearing sunglasses atop his head, who slipped threatening notes to tellers. The FBI says nobody was hurt in either holdup.
Photos of the suspect, described as a white male, about 6-foot tall with a medium build, were released to the media last week.
