Thunderstorms in Forecast through Tuesday; Quieter Mid-Week

Tragically violent weather across central Oklahoma largely spared Texoma; although there were lots of tornado warnings, most of them were unconfirmed. A few reports of power outages and wind damage came in, but considering what happened in Moore, Texoma was extremely fortunate today.
Thunderstorm chances continue overnight, but the loss of daytime heating the overall tornado risk is somewhat lower. However, the atmosphere is still unstable and thunderstorms could re-form later this evening.
A chance of thunderstorms will continue Tuesday and a few may be severe as well. Rain chances end as a cold front passes through and pleasant late spring weather is expected for
Seasonably warm and humid weather follows for Wednesday through the end of the week.
