DAVIS, OK -- A child drowned at Turner Falls in Davis, Oklahoma Saturday evening.

Park Manager Tom Graham says a 13-year-old girl was taken to a local hospital after she was found in the water. He says she was pronounced dead about 30 minutes after she arrived.

Graham says around 5:30 p.m. lifeguards jumped in to save a group of children that were struggling in the water, then noticed one of the kids was missing.

Authorities say the girl was discovered about 15 minutes later.
