7-14-05 - A Lone Grove woman was pinned between a car and the outside of her home today after she let her 11-year-old daughter drive the car. The 30-year-old suffered a broken leg.
The call came into dispatch around 1:40. A mother was carrying an infant into a house in the 300 block of Fruit Street when she let her young daughter get behind the wheel to drive the car into the garage.
Police say the 11-year-old panicked, hitting the gas. She pinned her mom between the car and the outside corner of the garage.
The mom is in a local hospital with a broken leg. The baby was not injured.
Police say bad weather did have something to do with it. The mother didn't want to get the baby out in the rain.
The impact into the house was enough to shift the foundation and crack the glass on the front door.
